Tooro Botanical Gardens (TBG) is an indigenous NGO founded in 2001 as a centre of excellence in growing, maintaining and displaying living collections of the Albertine Rift plants for conservation, scientific research, education, horticultural, medicinal, culinary, aesthetic and recreational purposes.

Mission: To promote community-centred conservation of natural, ecological and botanical resources in the Albertine Region.

Vision: We look forward for “a society with a well conserved green environment”.

The Tooro Botanical Garden is a perfect site for leisure, with numerous peaceful places for resting, being with friends, or just listening to the nature. Yet, TBG is also a place where many different and innovative activities take place, and deserve to be seen, discussed and encouraged.
