Buffalo Safari Lodge is located at Queen Elizabeth National Park, Katunguru Bridge, near the magical Kazinga channel, 1km off Kasese-Mbarara road, Western Uganda. The lodge has both standard and deluxe cottages, making a total of 17 rooms currently. This is ideal for large groups of 20 guests or more. The facility boasts of a serene environment comprising of spectacular flora and fauna such as elephants, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs and a variety of birds all at a glance of an eye. Buffalo Lodge has world class and experienced staff, a fully stocked bar and restaurant, with a lounge that gives guests and visitors a spectacular view of Queen Elizabeth park nearby, and Lakes Edward and George.
Lodge Activities
Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most popular tourist parks, full of African wildlife – 95 species of mammals, 619 species of birds, reptiles including crocodile and monitor Lizards. QENP is the second largest park in Uganda, traverses a mass of streams, rivers and lakes including Kazinga Channel, and Kyambura River that eventually flows into the mighty Nile. Buffalo Lodge is a 12-minute drive to the park for activities such as game/safari drives. Animals you should expect to see on this drive include Buffaloes, hippo, warthog, leopard, elephant, antelope, lions, and the Giant Forest Hog that visitors have higher chances of seeing at this lodge, more than at any other location in Queen Elizabeth Park!
